Printed with the name of our little town on one side and the code of the factory in which it was manufactured on the other, we have chosen to carry the bags as a limited edition in our favourite black and natural colour-way.
The bags have sturdy, leather straps with antique nickel rivets and are completely lined (making them water-resistant). Perfect for work, groceries – anything at all – the bags are strong (they are designed to carry at least 135 pounds) and extremely durable.
Perhaps best of all, every purchase of a market bag helps to break a poverty cycle. The women who make these bags (ours were manufactured in a factory located in Bangladesh) receive Fair Trade wages, annual profit dividends and a retirement fund.
